Step 1. Choose your program

Long-Term Program
If you need Russian for academic or business purposes you can take a long-term program. Usually it includes 80-120 academic hours (1 ac.hour = 45 min). These are 60-90 lessons per 60 min or 40-60 lessons per 80 min. This number of lessons is recommended by academic standards and usually used in universities, colleges and language schools to allow students reaching a necessary level of the Russian language which is needed to pass a TORFL (ТРКИ) exam and/or get a certificate.

Short-Term Program
A short-term program is perfect if you’re going to learn Russian for travel purposes or concentrate on specific speaking or grammar topics. Usually it includes 5 - 30 lessons per 60 minutes or 80 minutes. You can discuss your needs with you trainer and choose the amount of lessons to reach your goals. Here in the Russian Voice you can choose as more lessons as you want according to you needs and specific purposes.

Step 4. Immerse yourself in Russian

Living Russian online
Online Russian lessons are held via Skype, enabling teacher and students to interact in real time. You will have an opportunity to see, hear, and talk to your teacher as if you were in a classroom.

Regular lessons
I recommend having 2 or 3 lessons per week to progress fast, especially if you are a beginner. More advanced students can take 1-2 lessons per week and more activities to practice Russian at home.

Lesson Duration
Your teacher offers 45-minute, 60-minute and 80-minute Russian lessons. If you are a beginner I recommend to start with 80-minute lessons as in the beginning we need more time to practice the language. If you are an advanced student you can take 60-minute lessons which usually focus on speaking activities and discussion of different topics and events.

Homework
Homework is optional but highly recommended. As a rule, it can be reading, listening or writing activities which help you to acquire better the language we learned during our Skype session. The amount of homework is discussed in the beginning of each course and usually depends on the amount of time you can spend on doing it.

Needs assessment
You will be provided with a personalized needs assessment in the beginning and during the program. It will help us to analyze your goals and needs, find suitable learning strategies, and determine course content.

Class reports
You will get an oral class report at the end of the lesson or a written class report after the lesson. Your teacher will take notes of your Russian vocabulary, grammar & pronunciation mistakes and provide you with corrections, tips and resources which will help you to master your Russian.

Progress reports
Each month you will be provided with a progress report to show what you have done in the lessons and where you have improved.

Russian Online Library
You will have an access to the Russian language & literature online library where you can borrow books and other materials to practice your Russian at home.
