Our Russian level system is based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and The Test of Russian as a Foreign Language levels (TORFL).

This level certificate is required to obtain a Russian citizenship, but not enough to study at the Russian educational institutions, except for preparatory faculties (programs or courses) for foreigners where future students receive a one-year special language training. |

- take part in extended conversations; - write plans, thesis or,synopsis based on the texts you've read or heard; - write own informative,texts in form a of private or business letter, as well as official texts (such as applications, requests etc.); - understand dialogues from everyday communication with clearly expressed positions of the speakers; radio news, advertising; dialogues from feature films and TV programs; - maintain dialogue by,implementing the given communication strategy; - act as initiator of an,interrogation dialogue; - speak about what you've seen and express your own view and evaluation, analyze a topic in a free speech situation; - perceive and use,lexical and grammatical language means in an adequate way to ensure the,correct linguistic form of the phrase. This level certificate is needed to obtain Bachelor's, Master's and PH.D. degrees excluding certain subjects. |

This level certificate is needed to obtain Bachelor's and Master's degree in the humanities. |

**The CEFR is an internationally recognized framework that describes 6 levels of language ability from A1 for beginners up to C2 for those who have mastered a language. The CEFR is used by organizations all over the world as a reliable benchmark of language ability.
*** The Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL) is a standardized test supervised by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. The test has six levels, conforming to schema of the Association of Language Testers in Europe, and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
